6th Progress Meeting held in Bern

March 28, 2016

Close to its third anniversary, the CHIC project held its 6th Progress Meeting in Bern, Switzerland on March 21-23, 2016 hosted by CHIC partner University of Bern. The main focus of the meeting was the actual status of the project activities, the current developments of various CHIC tools and services as well as discussions about the recommendations that the CHIC consortium received from the reviewers during the last review meeting at the European Commission.

The CHIC project welcomed two members from the External Advisory Board to this meeting: Prof. David Ingram (University College London) and Prof. Piotr Czauderna (University of Gdansk) enriched the meeting with interesting guest lectures and by offering valuable advice to the consortium. Another talk was held by the invited guest Prof. Roland Wiest, Head of the Neuroradiology Research at the University Hospital of Bern. All three speeches fitted well into the topic of the project and triggered lively discussions among the consortium.

The third day was entirely dedicated to the technical components of the project.

Besides the scientific and project related agenda, the consortium also enjoyed some social programme with a visit the local Einstein Museum in Bern. All in all, the 6th Progress Meeting marked a spirited upbeat to the last year of the project. The next progress meeting will take place in Heraklion, Greece, and is set for September this year.
