KU Leuven is the oldest and largest university of the region and belongs to the League of European Research Universities (LERU). The University Hospital Leuven belongs to KU Leuven and has an international reputation in combining translational and clinical research with optimal patient care.

In the CHIC project, KU Leuven leads WP3, the clinical and fundamental science scenarios. Data from three distinct clinical cancer problems (Wilm’s tumor, glioblastoma multiforme and non-small cell lung cancer) will be organized and transferred for modeling. General applicability will be tested for prostate cancer, breast cancer, head & neck cancer and gastro-intestinal cancer.
